In an interview with local newspaper ‘Moskovskiy Komsomolets’, the head of the city’s underground system said that open roof subway cars will soon be making an appearance there. Following on from a concept used in Berlin (see photo), passengers will need to don hard hats for a night time excursion around the maze of tunnels that make up what is, unquestionably, the most impressive – architecturally, at least – subway network in the world.
